Bright Awakenings provides Counseling services online throughout Georgia or in person for those local to the Athens, GA, area, and Consultation services for therapists. Counseling focuses on providing individual therapy services for adolescents and adults who want to overcome past hurts to brighten their future.  Julia's main treatment approach for therapy is called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Consultation is for professionals seeking to deepen their knowledge of trauma-focused clinical practices. 

Julia Reed is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who strives to understand your unique story so that she may tailor a treatment plan to create the change you seek.  Julia believes that where change is wanted, it can be found. But, sometimes, knowing how to move forward isn't easy. Julia's role is to assist in exploring options in navigating the twists and turns of life, uncover the why, and help illuminate your unique path.
